Project Summary

In November 1994, disastrous flooding affected a 40 sq. km area in northern Italy. Major parts of the Piedmont region were inundated by water. AMURT immediately started a clean up effort at the disaster site.

A school in the small village of Castello d’Anonne suffered enormous water damage. Classes had to be cancelled for several weeks and were held in provisional locations.

In collaboration with the village’s municipal administration, AMURT provided new flooring for the entire school.
