What happened
On January 13 2001 and exactly one month later again – on 13 February – an earthquake shattered the strength of 7.6 of Richter scale and the southern coastal regions of El Salvador. About 80 small earthquakes and 5000 “Aftershocks” in subsequently have disabled public life. “AMURT” has created accommodations for nearly 1,000 earthquake victims in the state Anton Flores, San Vicente.
To help the truly needy as efficiently as possible the partner organization of AMURT, “Life for all” is committed to the together local relief organization CARE El Salvador. As part of a reconstruction project for thousands homeless families AMURT has provided the financing 200 of the above shown little houses in San Vincente.
